Vishali holds a BFA in Creative Producing from Chapman University, Singapore and a Diploma in Mass Communications from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. She has been producing and directing for 10 years and worked on genres from documentaries; dramas; factual entertainment, kids, and more.
At the Moving Visuals Co., Vishali has produced and directed Revealing the Invisible – a documentary on Singapore’s transgender people for NHK World.
In 2014, she produced Chained Insanity for Channel NewsAsia – looking at how Bali’s mentally ill are kept in chains. This was a finalist in the Social Issues category at the New York Festivals. Among her other awards are winning Best Infotainment series at the 2016 Asia Rainbow TV Awards, for Big Food, a celebration of big food feasts. The show has aired on Mediacorp and Discovery Channel Asia.
Vishali was also responsible for producing and directing two seasons of Undercover Happiness (MediaCorp TV5) which won the hearts of many Singaporean audiences and received wide acclaim on social media. The show has been included by the Ministry of Education for their social studies curriculum.
She has also conceptualised and produced 3 seasons of Cantik Detektif (aka “Beauty Detective”) – MediaCorp Suria’s highest-rated lifestyle series in 2015 – 16. Season 4 is currently underway.
