FACING DEMENTIA is a TV series that looks at one of the most pressing social and medical issues of our time. With Singapore’s rapidly aging population, it is estimated that some 100,000 people will have dementia by 2030.
This groundbreaking project looked at real case studies of people living with dementia and their caregivers.
This series covers various aspects from diagnosis to caregiving to treatments and look at how it affects society. How is one diagnosed? What can help? Is it preventable? FACING DEMENTIA features the stories of people living with dementia, as well as doctors and experts who are on the frontline.
Besides being on TV, Toggle and CNA online, two videos were created for Facebook and went viral. One video amassed 4.5 million views in just over 2 weeks – highlighting the relevance of the issue with Singaporeans.
