In The Chinese Footprint, a successful series that has run for two seasons, we uncover the stories of little-known communities with Chinese migrant origins. Some are distant from their Chinese roots; others retain an unmistakable essence. As our host visits exotic and remote destinations for Chinese immigrants such as Fiji, Jordan, Bahrain, Hungary, and more, we trace the footsteps of the Chinese in faraway lands and celebrate their inspiring stories and legacies.

Season 1 was awarded the Best Asian Documentary prize at Bangkok International Documentary Awards (BKK DOC) in 2021.

The production of the second season began when borders slowly began to reopen in the midst of the pandemic, over a period of 7 months. Filming in a wide range of locations – Bulgaria, Bahrain, Hungary, Georgia, Sibu, Australia Bendigo, the Netherlands, Sabah and Belgium, the series serves as a poignant reminder of the interconnectedness of humanity, no matter where we are.
