Beyond Limits

February 27, 2014

These people are icons, champions in their own field. They excel in pushing boundaries – from scientists to pilots, engineers to military officers, CEOs to sportswomen. They’re the cream of the crop who have risen to great heights and continue to inspire the next generation of people.

And all of them are women.

These women have dared to dream and took action. We find out what drives and inspires them to strive in male dominated industries, and look at the pivotal moments that define their lives. We look at their past achievements – how they overcame the odds and track their current endeavours as they aspire to be the best they can be.

We follow key people in their lives, and how they have been inspired or mentored by the same tenacity that these women bring to their own fields. Then we delve into their own personal lives and find out the essence of how being a woman changes the very nature of what they do in life, and how they eventually broke seemingly insurmountable barriers.

The series will delve deep into the personal lives, trials and tribulations of accomplished women such as Team Singapore paralympian Yip Pin Xiu to Singapore’s first female commercial pilot Anastasia Gan, scientist and nanotechnologist Jackie Ying to the first female naval diver Esther Tan, all the way to Singapore’s highest ranking female police officer Zuraidah Abdullah and many more.
