Junkie Monastery won in the Lifestyle & Info Category for the Rockie Award at the 2012 Banff World Media Festival.

In 2012 it won in the Best Social Awareness category and was highly commended in the Best Direction, Best Editing and Best Infotainment categories at the Asian Television Awards.

It was also awarded Best Documentary for the Shift Awards at the 2013 Florida Media Market.
