Official music video for ‘Stay’ by Mark Chan, one of Singapore’s finest and most celebrated singer-songwriters.
The song was re-recorded for his latest album ‘Blue Guitar’ (2016). It was written about Mark’s first big love – something he says both parties knew, unfortunately, could not last. “I was young then; we both were. The amazing thing is that we’re still in touch today, and we talk. It really seems like I’ve come full circle. Things that mattered then, matter even now: passion, falling in love, and losing love,” says Mark.
“Working with Galen on this video has been great. He’s a real ‘thinking’ man, and it shows through in his honesty. He refused to lace and layer any stuff on top of me that was unnecessary. He wanted ‘STAY’, the song, and Mark, the singer-songwriter, to come through. He saw Fire, Water, the Sea, the Sun in all my songs and music. And that’s a real bonfire in the video, that’s the sea, that’s the full moon, that’s the breaking heart of Mark Chan. He nailed it.”
