The Awad family spoke to Haryani Ismail about their experiences in an article published in last Saturday’s Berita Harian. In it, Awad and Mag (as she’s fondly called on Throwback) discuss their experiences in the kampong with their twin children Hannah and Danish. Mag talks about her initial apprehensions regarding hygiene standards and comfort. However, she came to enjoy the gotong-royong spirit that the Families nurtured as they cooked and shared their meals together.
